Chemistry Booze Cruise

Canberra copped a down-pour while we were heading to the wharf. Thankfully though, the heavens eased off while we cruised on Lake Burley Griffin.

Ash could barely contain himself - thinking of the dance-pole downstairs.

Shots helped to get the party on the dancefloor started.

Finally, Ash starts showing off his best moves (with a little assistance).

And here is the obligatory group photo at the Moose.

Tropfest 2008

Marry Me won Tropfest this year.

Elene invited the gang along to the screening at Stage 88 in Canberra.

Big Splash, Jamison

Ash organised for a party to go to the Big Splash on Sunday afternoon. The "gladiator sausage" is really our favourite activity but apparently it is not meant for big kids.

Finally, with warm weather here, we were able to try for some speed records on the slides.

Ash blocks up heaps of the water and is being considered a solution to Canberra's water storage crisis.

You can see how jubilant I am here because I am about to catch up to Ash. (I'm the fastest).

ANU Medallists

The uni unveiled a board and kindly hosted a huge function on Saturday afternoon.

The festivities continued up on Mt Stromlo.

The organisers considered that some people might bring kids along. Or be kids.

Cruising 'round Crookwell

Here is the route that Jenny and I travelled along on Friday. The road to Crookwell from Canberra is now entirely sealed. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the norther stretch towards Bathurst.

Jenny and I rode the GS500 to the Abercrombie caves on Friday and took the tour.

We travelled to Trunkey Creek for schnitzels but didn't camp there because Trunkey Creek smelled a little "funky". Instead we rode south a little way to the Abercrombie River and set up a hoochie to Jen's design.

The morning was too cool to take a swim, but it was bright. We saw many kookaburras on our way back to Canberra. I snapped this Bedford ute just south of Crookwell.

Squash @ Dickson

Jen and I rose early for a game of squash today before uni.

It was pretty competitive, though I got away with a win.

Bike Karma

Glynn's CBR250R is temporarily out for repairs after a Camry tried to drive over it at an intersection.

On the flip-side the ZZR250 is finally back on the road after Steve's "tinkering" with the fuel mixture settings was remedied.

Mixmaster's Paintball Day

I made some camouflage paint available so that competitors could get in to character. However, I wasn't expecting this... (It is very scary, though).

Lauren managed this without special effects. Due to the paintball provider's disregard for our safety Lauren was sent out to battle without a full mask and copped this egg. Paintball hurts a bit but not usually this much!

As well, I accidentally shot Lauren in the butt at close range but she was granted an opportunity to reply.

Ash and I, the last men standing, pose at the conclusion of play.

And here we all are - battered and keen for a shower. Thanks for organizing the big day for us all Mixy!

Crazy Horse on Fire

Glynn and Steve hosted us at Scrivener. First we worked on the homebrews. As usual, we moved on to the Becks.
